What is an EPC?

An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is a legal requirement for most buildings in the UK that are being sold, let or constructed. It measures a building’s energy efficiency using a rating from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient). EPCs help property owners and tenants understand how much it will cost to heat and power a building, and how improvements can be made to save energy.
